Description

For decades, reality capture data has lived on hard drives and behind desktop software; useful to the person who captured it, invisible to everyone who actually needs to act on it. This talk makes the case that where spatial data lives, and who can reach it, is now a competitive differentiator, not just an IT decision. We'll look at what changes when point clouds, orthos, DEMs, and inspection photos move from a shared drive to a browser tab. For field crews, PMs, and engineers, that means everyone is looking at the same live dataset instead of waiting on exports, version-checking files, or scheduling a desktop walkthrough just to answer a question that should take thirty seconds. For business development, it means something bigger: firms that can hand an owner's rep a live, interactive site instead of a static PDF report are winning trust, and often winning work, before a proposal is even finalized. Accessibility isn't a nice-to-have here, it's becoming part of the pitch.
