Description
Reality capture gives us increasingly accurate digital representations of the physical world, but what happens when those models can also perceive, reason, and respond? Boise State University is exploring the next step beyond static digital twins by combining LiDAR and reality capture, BIM, spatial computing, sensor data, extended reality, and AI. This presentation will highlight our emerging work toward AI-ready digital twins that connect physical environments with intelligent spatial systems, and how university-industry collaboration can provide a testbed for developing the workflows, technologies, and talent needed for this rapidly evolving field.
